Ana María Siufi

Ana María Siufi is a Sister of Mercy of the Americas, who is Argentine and has resided in Patagonia for 23 years. She is dedicated to prison ministry, human rights, socio-environmental care, and the accompaniment of disadvantaged families. In 2022 she relocated to a village in the mountains, where she does pastoral work with peasant and Mapuche families, as well as advocacy and socio-environmental education.

En 2022 se trasladó a un pueblo de la sierra, donde realiza labores pastorales con familias campesinas y mapuches, asñi como en defensa y educación socioambiental.

We saw frustrations and resilience at COP27

I went with a delegation of religious congregations to COP27, the 27th Conference of the Parties to the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change. We had a challenging, educational and also disappointing experience.
