Halfway through their 2014 tour of 10 states, Nuns on the Bus is in North Carolina through today. After spending Friday in West Virginia, the sisters went to Greensboro, N.C., to the Civil Rights Museum "where the famous 'Greensboro Four' integrated the Woolworth’s lunch counter in 1960 and began a movement which rippled throughout the south," wrote Sr. Phyllis Tierney, SSJ, in one of the Nuns on the Bus News from the Road blogs.

The sisters will be in Charlotte this evening, for a Town Hall for the 100%. What's that? These meetings begin with a welcome from the hosting community, then Sr. Simone encourages small group discussion "between those present by asking questions about what brought them to the event, what their concerns are, and what are some ways we, as the 100%, can engage in this year’s election." Local sisters are interspersed throughout the crowd to listen to these discussions, and then there's a larger group discussion of issues.
