Svitlana Matsiuk is from Ukraine, and taught English and German at the National Aviation University in Kyiv before joining the Missionary Congregation Servants of the Holy Spirit in 2007. She ministered in Germany, where she started the project "Wanderarbeiter," in which she accompanied the seasonal workers from Eastern Europe. She has also served in the Philippines and in Ukraine, and participated in the formator's course organized by the Salvatorian fathers in Trzebinia, Poland. Currently, she directs the European novitiate of her congregation in Rome.

Anne McNamara is a Presentation Sister from County Clare, Ireland. After entering the South West Province of the Presentation Sisters, she taught high school and has worked in education in Ireland and Slovakia. She currently resides in Spišské Podhradie, a Slovak town 150 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, and ministers in the areas of social development, family support and developing educational opportunities for Roma people.
