NETWORK’s Nuns on the Bus is on its “We the People, We the Voters” tour, stopping in 36 cities in 10 states to engage voters and encourage people to register to vote. Franciscan Sr. Jan Cebula, U.S. liaison for Global Sisters Report, will be riding along for five days in Iowa. Watch for her blogs right here; GSR staff reporter Dawn Araujo will have a news story later today from the kick off rally in Des Moines, Iowa, where Vice President Joe Biden is expected to speak.
The 5,252-mile tour runs through Oct. 20. We'll have photos from as many of the 75 events as we can; expect a new set every day as you follow the sisters on their way through Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, North Carolina, Louisiana, Georgia and Colorado.
