Teodora Kopyn

Teodora Kopyn was born in Mukachevo in the westernmost part of Ukraine, and entered the Sisters of St. Basil the Great in Lviv 25 years ago. She recently transferred to the American Province, where she currently runs two food pantries and works with people who are homeless in downtown Philadelphia. When the war broke out in Ukraine, she had the opportunity to return Ukraine, to help her people both physically and spiritually.

In the footsteps of the Ukrainian people's Way of the Cross

My many train rides across Ukraine were filled with air sirens and bombings in the distance. So many people wanted to share their stories, while others were not able to. I could see much pain in their eyes.
