Franciscan Federation Annual Virtual Retreat, Singing a New Canticle: 1225 – 2025

Franciscan Federation invites all to unique retreat experience honoring 800 years since St. Francis composed the Canticle of Creatures

All are welcome to a celebration of the Canticle in 2025, during the Franciscan Federation’s virtual retreat, Singing a New Canticle: 1225 – 2025, designed to inspire and connect. The event is Sunday, Feb. 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. EST (via Zoom). Registration is required.

Our esteemed speaker, Br. Bill Short, will share his profound Franciscan wisdom on this special day of reflection and sharing. Together, we will delve into how events that occurred centuries ago continue to shape and transform us today. Brother Bill is a friar of the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe and a professor of Christian Spirituality at the Franciscan School of Theology at the University of San Diego in California. He also serves as director of the Collegium S. Bonaventurae, International Center for Franciscan Studies and Research in Rome. With Regis Armstrong OFM Cap and Wayne Hellmann OFM Conv, he is an editor of Francis of Assisi: Early Documents and, with Christopher Stace, of Francis of Assisi: The Conformity.

Whether you want to join us individually or with a group, visit the event’s website at https://franfed.org/gatherings/annual-retreat-2 for more information and to register.

The cost is $20 per person for members and $50 per person for individual non-members. The cost is $80 for members who register as a group of five or more, and log in from one laptop. This is a great opportunity to share this experience with your friends, community members, or colleagues.
