Teresa Gasparin

Teresa Gasparin is a sister of the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity, an international community founded in Mallorca, Spain. She is currently based in San Francisco, completing the second year of a Master of Divinity at the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University, Berkeley. Born in multicultural Australia into a family of Italian migrants, she is passionate about strengthening bonds within communities. She completed her novitiate on the Isle of Wight (England) and continued her formation process in Spain and Peru, before arriving in the U.S. She will profess her perpetual vows upon completing her theological studies.

What could synodality mean for our ever ancient, ever renewing church?

Being on pilgrimage to Rome during the second session of the synod of synodality taught me that stretching the boundaries belongs to all of us, in friendship with the principal protagonist —the Holy Spirit.
