Sheila Fitzgerald
Sr. Sheila Fitzgerald grew up on a small family farm in Nebraska on land homesteaded by her great grandparents in 1854. She entered the Sinsinawa Dominican Congregation in 1957 and has served in a variety of educational and social service ministries for more than 60 years. For many years she served on Sinsinawa Land Committees helping to envision how, in partnership with this land, the mission and legacy of the Sinsinawa Dominicans continues to be a vital presence in the agricultural community. She serves on the steering committee helping to develop Fields of Sinsinawa in collaboration with a group of dedicated soil caretakers who consider the land a precious gift to be nurtured for the seventh generation and beyond.
