Nodelyn Abayan

Nodelyn Abayan, a member of the Sisters of Social Service of Los Angeles, is a spiritual director and the vocation contact person for her community. Recently, she earned her doctorate in educational leadership and social justice from San Francisco State University. Her passion lies in early childhood education and supporting families. She is an adjunct professor at City College of San Francisco, where she teaches in the Child and Family Studies Department.

In graced moments of nature, I cannot be unhappy

My afternoon walk has become a lifesaver for me. Not only does it oxygenate my brain (which helps me relax and stay calm), but it also makes my heart and spirit well up in gratitude and love for life!
