Martha Keller

Martha Keller is an Ursuline Sister of Mount St. Joseph (Maple Mount, Kentucky). Since 2012, she has served as a pastoral associate at St. Jerome Parish in Fancy Farm, Kentucky. She is a native of Whitesville, Kentucky, and is serving in her 46th year as an Ursuline Sister. She has ministered as an elementary and high school teacher, a pastoral associate at several parishes and served her community as director of vocation ministry on several occasions.

Shane, age 7, enjoys some attention two days after his family lost everything when the tornado swept through Graves County, Kentucky, on Dec. 10, 2021. He claimed the green sunglasses to help him cope and created a fun exchange with our volunteers.

Reflections on the aftermath of the Kentucky tornado

Through the weeks and months of serving tornado survivors of Mayfield, Kentucky, I have encountered some beautiful souls, and have allowed myself to be changed and transformed by their faith and perseverance.
