Clara Mangwengwe

Clara Mangwengwe is a Missionary Sister of the Precious Blood, of the Zimbabwe-Zambia Province. With the help of the African Sisters Education Collaborative initiative, she graduated from the Finance Track II program in Lilongwe, Malawi. The skills she gained from that program — resource mobilization, project proposal writing, report writing and computer skills — enabled her to find donations for the solar energy system installed at their provincial house, where their elderly, sick, and retired members live.

A wake-up call to embrace solar energy

When one is in a comfort zone, the mind gets idle. But when discomfort emerges, one must seek alternatives. Our story, dealing with power outages in Zimbabwe, is a practical example of this reality.
